Edward has a wide wardrobe ranging from ragged pirate leathers to elaborate noble attire. Most are cosmetic, but the Mayan and Templar armors give major gameplay bonuses.
Notable Outfits
- Pirate Robes (default): The classic look. Iconic. No bonuses.
- Mayan Armor: All 16 Mayan Stones → Tulum door. Deflects bullets and arrows. (See Mayan Stelae guide.)
- Templar Armor: All five Templar Hunts → Great Inagua cage. 25% damage resistance from all sources. (See Templar Hunt guide.)
- Governor's Outfit: Unlocked via a specific Kenway's Fleet trade mission. Fancy noble suit. Lets you blend with upper-class crowds in cities.
- Officer's Uniform: In a chest in a captured military fort. Lets you walk past guards in restricted areas without immediate detection.
- Cloaked Outfit (Resynced exclusive): Dark hooded cloak. Slightly reduces detection range when crouched in shadows. Found during the epilogue.
- Blackbeard's Crew Outfit: Complete the expanded Blackbeard questline. Cosmetic.

Resynced-Exclusive Outfits
The remake adds several new outfits. Some unlock through the epilogue, some through expanded side content. A few are hidden in treasure chests in new areas — explore unexplored islands carefully.

No outfit restricts gameplay. Unlike some other AC games, you can crouch, stealth, and assassinate in any outfit — even the bright red Officer's Uniform. Wear whatever looks best.
