Havana is your first major city (Sequence 2), and it can be overwhelming after the linear opening. Dense, full of guards, treasure, viewpoints, and story beats. Here's how to tackle it efficiently.
First Visit Priority (Sequence 2)
- Complete the story missions first — they guide you through key districts, introduce the Assassin Bureau, and teach tailing/eavesdropping.
- Sync every viewpoint you can reach. Havana has several; the story grants access to the central fort (with a viewpoint inside) during a mission.
- Grab accessible Animus fragments and chests in the northern/western districts.
Navigation Tips
- Havana's rooftops are Edward's highway. Streets are heavily patrolled; rooftops are mostly clear. Use them to traverse the city fast.
- Not all areas are accessible on your first visit (southern forts, inner castle are locked until later sequences). Don't try to force your way in.
- For tailing missions in Havana, use crowds and hired dancer groups as cover. Stay inside the blending circle.
- The harbor area has easy chests and shanties — visit after the story takes you there.
